Birdcast is a golf weather app. This policy explains what data we collect (very little) and how we use it.

Data We Collect

• Location. Used only to fetch weather for your current position. Your coordinates are sent directly to Apple WeatherKit. We do not store or log your location.
• Course search. Course names you type are sent to the Apple Maps Server API to find matching golf courses. We do not store search queries.
• Saved courses & tee times. Stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. Never uploaded to any server.
• In-app purchases (tip jar). Purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We receive only a confirmation of the transaction — no payment details, name, or Apple ID.

Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not have user accounts or profiles.
• We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
• We do not track you across apps or websites.
• We do not sell any data.

Third-Party Services

• Apple WeatherKit — weather data. Weather attribution.
• Apple Maps Server API — course search.
• RevenueCat — in-app purchase management. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
• Cloudflare Workers — a small stateless server signs the WeatherKit JWT. No user data passes through it.

Children

Birdcast is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
