Common Questions

Why does the bird change between windows?

Each time window (Morning, Midday, Twilight) is scored independently from the hourly forecast. A different bird in a different window means conditions are genuinely different during that part of the day — for example, a clear morning followed by an afternoon storm.

Why is the weather different from another app?

Birdcast uses Apple WeatherKit, which forecasts to the exact coordinates of the golf course. Other apps may use a nearby weather station or a different forecast model.

The app shows the wrong course location.

Course search uses Apple Maps. If a course is missing or incorrectly placed, the best fix is to report it directly to Apple Maps via the Maps app (tap a location → Report an Issue).

Tip jar / in-app purchases

Tip purchases are processed by Apple and are non-refundable consumables. If you were charged and didn't receive confirmation, try restoring from the App Store. For billing issues, contact Apple Support.

Notifications aren't working.

Open Settings → Notifications and make sure Birdcast is allowed to send notifications. Tee-time reminders are scheduled locally on your device — they won't fire if notifications are off.
